Top Ten Things You Can Do To Help Protect The Environment

On the University of North Carolina's web site they have a Top Ten list of ways students can protect the environment. The point below is our absolute favorite. You can do this for YOUR residents too! (Change the text and don't copy!)

10. Conservation -- Take Shorter Showers.
If each student in the residence halls reduced their showering time by 1 minute, we could save about 30,000 gallons of water each day. Always turn off your lights, stereo, etc. when not in use or when you leave your room. A good rule of thumb is to turn lights off if you will be out of the room for more than two minutes.
