Sales Is A ProcessWe all know this! Yet it’s important to remember that each step of the sales process is critical to the whole. If you just focus on one step, say, closing, it throws everything out of whack if the other pieces are not there to support it.
Think about this, if you were at a party, and a man came up to you and asked you to marry him, no matter if it’s the best proposal (closing line) in the world, it wouldn’t matter, since you do not have all of the pieces of the puzzle to give you a reason to marry him. You would need product knowledge, a level of trust, a feeling of security, an established relationship, etc. – before being ready to make the decision.
However, if you had dated the guy for a long time, and pretty much knew you wanted to marry him, how or what he said in his “closing” line wouldn’t matter – because the pieces leading up to the proposal (closing line) were what made your decision. Make sense?
Make sure you have your whole “process” perfected. Your perfected process will help you increase your closing ratios.
