HOST A PARTY WITH A UNIQUE PRICE OF
ADMISSION

Have a holiday party where “admission” is a pair of gloves or mittens, a hat, or a scarf. Donate all of these to a local house of worship or homeless shelter.

Or, simply include a request for specific donations on the invitation (this will take some pressure off if people forget!).

The list is endless on what you can collect – one friend’s party invitation asked for suitcases (gently used), backpacks or school supplies to donate to a local foster children’s organization.

Another idea: Ask for small money donations, compile the money, and buy lunch or dinner for your local fire or police station.
