HOLIDAY PARTY TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS

‘Tis the season...for great parties! Holiday parties are a great way to bring people together, in a happy atmosphere, to meet their neighbors. Be sure to keep your parties religiously neutral and emphasize that everyone is welcome.

Cook traditional foods like Yorkshire pudding, baked hams, and mashed potatoes. Be creative with beverages too; hot cider and mulled wine are great soul-warming drinks.

Decorations should represent all of the holidays of the season and reflect local tradtions and symbols. Make sure there are kid-friendly activities and games available. If there are lots of kids in the community you can set up a special area just for them, maybe even hire a babysitter or two.

Music can be a great ice-breaker and mood- lifter. On the invitations, ask everyone to bring a favorite holiday CD and play as many as you can throughout the party.
