Time Management
1. When you start a new activity, anticipate EVERYTHING that can go wrong so that you have already found solutions when fires arise!2. Start AND end meetings ON TIME and make sure that you prepare AND stick to an agenda!
3. Match your task to your energy -- do your most challenging work when you are most fresh and awake!
4. Open conversations with "What can I do for you?," and end conversations promptly after your business is done!
5. Get to the office 30 minutes earlier than everyone else!
6. Take work wherever you go and do tasks that you don't normally find time to do at the office - like your To Do List!
7. Return a phone call while you are waiting for your printer to finish its thing!
8. Break down big tasks into little tasks and reward yourself when you've completed each step!
9. Cut the "dead weight" from your to-do list! Don't work on something which will not help you or your asset!
10. You know your attention span -- plan around it!
11. If you only complete an item part-way, be sure to make a note of where you left off so as not to lose time tomorrow trying to figure out where you left off!
12. Do one chore each day before work. if there's chaos at home, it makes the chaos at work harder to handle! Bring your home life under control!
13. Do something you love when you do things you hate! Eat a Krispy Creme donut every time you have to explain monthly budget variances to your boss!
