How To Use This IssueThis issue of Rent & Retain is very different from what you are used to as we focus on re-vamping your collateral material. The goals: To make each piece of collateral material BETTER and to be able to use each item as a stand-alone marketing piece.
(Stand-alone means that if one thing gets separated from everything else in your marketing packet, that piece will still effectively sell your community -- and will have everything the prospect needs to realize that YOUR community is the best choice.)
Each piece of collateral should:
-sell SOMETHING about your community -- a feature, a benefit, the staff, your location, etc.
-look MUCH different than your competitor's marketing material
-be easily updated or changed, so you can customize each piece for every prospect.
The examples included in this issue will give you guidelines on how to freshen up your marketing packet. Be creative! With computers you can update the information on a daily basis to make sure the collateral pieces are visually interesting and appeal to the reader.
And remember, it's okay to WRITE on your marketing materials. If you write your name, features, benefits, etc. on the pieces, you are literally spelling out for the reader where to look and what is important.
Like any new idea, try it out, test it, revamp it, and give it time to work. These sales tips have worked extremely well for me -- they will work for you too!
